Problem Statement
With ever growing political tensions, we are seeing a negative shift in the portrayal of protest. With that in mind, how can an organization and subsequent app facilitate peaceful, safe and widespread protest across the political spectrum?
Solution
Foreword exists to inform protesters of their rights through available resources and workshops, place trained volunteers on the ground to diffuse conflicts during protest, and provide amenities, such as food, water and shelter, in order to increase the longevity of such protests.
Brand Relation
The logo symbolizes a government made up of its people; one that can be changed if it is no longer working to benefit it's people. It utilizes the classic stars and stripes motif, paired with a flipped crown with negative space made up of people, to strike a bipartisan appeal.
Foreword Name
A foreword is a short introduction to a book written by someone other than the author. It is meant to provide context or credibility. This has strong symbolism to protest, as protesters often introduce an issue to the governing body that they then pass legislation on.
Foreword Places trained volunteers on the ground to manage conflict, dispersal orders, and get medical attention when necessary.
For organizations they provide consultation to get protest started. They provide guidance, permit information and recommend locations.
Foreword App
The foreword app has two separate user experiences. One for protesters and one for organizers. The protesters can access protests, workshops, legal information and their user profile. Its primary feature is the ability to report conflict during protest, organizers can see this and redirect the protest's path away.

The organizers can create posts and communicate with their representatives. Additionally they can view current protests and workshops for scheduling and inspiration.
