Design 1
I created a stack where the type of smoke is enveloping the word Mirror. It has an effect of warping that is similar to the mirrors in a Carnival. To create drama the full quote is displayed below.

Design 2
This design began as applying a smoke-like effect to the word “Smoke.“ This was successful and I used the effect throughout. The use of grain is smoke in the way that they both obstruct our view. The word mirror is shown with a warped reflection and the smoke is shown throughout the design.

Design 3
The smoke texture here is made from vine charcoal. When designing the lettering
I tried a bunch of different formats and textures. A circular had created the most cloud-like texture. The top texture is intended to look like smoke that has adhered onto a surface. The word “Mirror” is made from broken pieces of a mirror along with other shards leading the viewer’s eye into the center of the composition.

Design 4
For this design I made it appear that the first portion of the quote has been swallowed up by smoke. Inside the smoke, embers are scattered to give it a hot and suffocating feel. The smoke in prior designs has appeared cold, in this design I wanted to convey the danger. The design is to be printed on mirror paper
